They pride themselves on being a low CO2 company that is socially responsible, reducing their environmental footprint wherever possible. Sometimes it's easy to get a little bored with what we do at the shop. I mean it's jeans and jeans and jeans all the time, 24/7, 365 days a year for us (especially now with our on-line shop). You've seen one jean, you've seen them all, right?

But some days there are brands that remind us that what we do at the shop is really kinda cool. Brands that are so special you want to shout from the rafters, "LOOK AT THESE JEANS PEOPLE!!!!". Can one shout so many exclamation marks? Well, if one could, I would when it comes to the new Raleigh Denim jeans that arrived.

Raleigh Denim is a brand that a lovely customer who moved to Spain (tears) clued me into. I called them and as fate would have it, Sarah, one of the designers, was coming to visit Boston the very next day. She stopped by the shop and we chatted for a bit. I'm always a little sheepish about showing off the shop. Well, I think it's the SH-T but I'm also afraid that people will think it's not big enough, not bling enough, not "cool" enough. But she liked the store a lot and saw Raleigh Denim there. I did too and was so delighted to bring the brand in.

Unfortunately this brand only produces jeans for men. I do think plans are in the works for women's jeans as well. But let me tell you, almost every women in the shop has cooed over the "Camden" jean that arrived. Super soft and a beautiful slate color, men, you wanna get the ladies to swoon over you? Wear these jeans, no seriously!

Jean Therapy has the Camden in stock as well as the Wilkes which is a dark indigo straight leg. The Wilkes is pretty much the quintessential dark raw denim jean. These jeans are all handcrafted and sewn by Sarah and her boyfriend Victor. For reals, these jeans are hand sewn.

Something this special reminds me why I love what I do and that jeans are often a labor of love.

Sometimes I feel like I have a split personality when it comes to fashion. They often say that small shops work best if you stock the stuff you love. I love so much this season. All the black with studding and motorcycle detail is amazing. All the new styles of denim are amazing. On top of all this stuff with jeans we also have coats, jackets and dresses. So let's get started on what's brand spankin' new at the shop and on the website:



1.) Shyla coats and jackets. Stay warm in style this year with these fantastic wool coats and jackets. The tweed jacket at the beginning of this post is a Shyla jacket. We also have a 3/4 length car coat and a really adorable hot pink coat.



2.) 7FAM Rocker Jeans with an amazing crystal detail on the back pocket. Sometimes I think that noone does a jean like 7FAM does. I love these jeans and I don't even usually do bling on my butt! The color is fairly dark as is the crystal detail...It's very tastefully done and I know they're going to blow out of the shop in record time!




3.) LA Made is a new darling of Jean Therapy. The stuff is amazingly priced. The new tux jacket is only 65 bucks and I can see it edging up any outfit. Skinny jeans, trouser legged jeans, leggings. Even a basic pencil shirt with booties would look rad with this jacket. The plum shirtdress is 100% silk. And if you don't know anything in silk, you really should. It feels amazing and silk is actually a pretty warm fabric. The plum color is flattering for so many skin tones. Love!



4.) Tag Jeans in the destroyed Chelsea skinny. Amazing on curvy girls!!!! Tag's fit is really fantastic and we've been really pleased with this fairly new to us label!




4.) Hudson's signature backpocket jean in a new color called Anvil and in a cord! Love the washed out black color on the cord. It's so cool. A lot more interesting that just plain old black.




5.) Last but not least, fleece jeans from Pur. These jeans are just damn amazing because they're done in a rich, warm and heavy duty fleece. Like wearing a sweatpant but a lot cooler!!! And tie dyed!!! Don't hate!!! Appreciate!!! I have a pair of these bad boys and I like to tone down the tie dye-ness with a solid grey or black top. Cutting edge and really cool. I love these fleece jeans. I use them like leggings and they work well to make my outfits just a bit cooler and keep me warm to boot!
